THIRD EDITION OF 'THE PALACE MUN'24' ORGANISED AT CITY PALACE
Jaipur, 27 April: The Palace School hosted its third edition of "The Palace MUN'24" Model United Nations Conference on April 27 to 28, 2024. The opening ceremony, held at Pritam Chowk at City Palace in Jaipur, welcomed esteemed guests including Pro Vice-chancellor International and Dean, Faculty of Design and Creative Technologies, Professor Guy Littlefair; Rama Datt, Executive Trustee of Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum Trust; and Pawan Solanki, CEO of Australian Uni School Mentorship Program.
 
The programme began with the lighting of the lamp by Rama Datt, Principal, Urvashi Warman), Prof Guy Littlefair and Chief Adviser of The Palace MUN’24, Shubham Maheshwari followed by a vibrant dance performance by our school students.
 
On the occasion, Guy Littlefair highlighted the significance of this event in enhancing students’ understanding of UN’s work and its impact on their educational journey. Rama Datt addressed the student delegates and congratulated them on their commitment to exploring major global issues and gaining insight into the workings of the United Nations. Shubham Maheshwari thanked the Principal, faculty members and the student delegates for their constant support and trust throughout this MUN journey. 
 
Introduced in 2019, under the guidance of Princess Diya Kumari, honourable Founder of The Palace School, The Palace MUN has successfully established a legacy of enticing debates and enriching delegate experiences.
 
This year, the MUN conference witnessed the participation of over 450 delegates from all across the city's leading schools. In its third edition, The Palace MUN introduced 9 outstanding committees which observed enticing deliberations and high-calibre debates on contemporary global issues such as Sustainable Consumption and Production, Bio-Weapons and The New Age Warfare, Regulation of Press in the Digital Age, Reviewing Human Rights Violation with Respect to Conflict Zones and Indigenous People and so on. 
 
This esteemed Model UN conference continues to maintain its tradition of promoting critical thinking and global awareness. The anticipation is high for another successful and enriching The Palace MUN conference ahead.
