SECOND EDITION OF INTERNATIONAL HACKATHON 'HACKX' CONCLUDES AT MANIPAL UNIVERSITY



Jaipur, 6 September : 
Over 1100 people from more than 60 universities and institutions from India and abroad, in the form of 317 teams, discovered about a dozen problems based on the themes of Healthcare, Fintech, Web3, Cyber Security, Open Innovation at the International Hackathon, ‘HackX’ at Manipal University Jaipur. Organised under the aegis of the School of Computer Science and Engineering, E Cell and Atal Incubation Center, in this two-day hackathon which lasted for 36 hours continuously, the participants found interesting and innovation-based solutions to the basic problems related to society.

School Director, Prof. Sandeep Chaurasia welcomed all the guests and participants and gave information about the hackathon in detail. He also said that such events provide the opportunity to connect with industry experts and skill consultants to improve ideas and also to develop your idea as a startup by meeting potential investors.

The Chief Guest of the programme, Chief Coordinating Officer of All India Council for Technical Education, Chandrasekhar Buddha, informed the participants about the vision of the Government of India by giving examples of the basic mantra of Team India and 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam'. He also gave detailed information about the incentives given by the Government of India to young entrepreneurs. The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. N.N. Sharma inspired the youth to always take problems as a challenge and find solutions for them and make those solutions useful for the benefit of society. Registrar, Dr. Nitu Bhatnagar talked about the achievements of the university at the programme.

Dean of Engineering, Prof. Kuldeep Singh Sangwan shared the basic mantras of success in student life with the participants. Vishal Doshi, Hiten Lulla, Yash Ramani from TCS participated as guests in the programme. This competition, which was held continuously for 36 hours, was evaluated by invited guests from the industry, after which the winning teams were given cash and pool prizes worth more than 5 Lakhs. At the end of the programme, the Head of the Department, Dr. Neha Chaudhary, expressed her gratitude to everyone.
