Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya, two popular Telugu actors, have officially divorced. The Custody actor said that his divorce with Samantha was approved last year. Fans were shocked when the pair, who had been married for over four years, announced their split in 2021. Despite the fact that the cause of their breakup is still a mystery, Chaitanya acknowledged that he and Samantha had moved on.

“Yes. We have been officially divorced for a year and have been apart for more than two years. Our divorce has been approved by the court. We both have continued living our lives. I hold that period of my life in the highest regard, he said. Chaitanya complimented her and said, "She is a lovely person and deserves all happiness."

A few years into their relationship, Samantha and Chaitanya decided to be married in 2017. However, rumors of their breakup started when Samantha took Chaitanya's last name, "Akkineni," off of her social media accounts. Following escalating rumors and speculative claims, Chaitanya and Samantha jointly announced their separation.

"To all of our sympathizers. Sam and I have chosen to separate as husband and wife in order to pursue our own careers after much discussion and thinking. An portion from the statement read, "We are blessed to have a friendship of more than ten years that was the very foundation of our relationship that we think will always have a particular tie between us.

Last year, Samantha referred to Chaitanya as her "ex-husband" on Koffee With Karan 7 and said that the breakup was not amicable. It has been difficult, Samantha said on the program while discussing the breakup. But everything are well now. It's okay. I am more resilient than ever. She was questioned by Karan about any unforgiven grudges. "Are there hard feelings like if you put us both in a room, you have to hide sharp objects?" the actress said. Yes, now, of course. KJo asked her to clarify, "So it's not a friendly scenario right now. Not at the moment, but perhaps later, yes, she said.
