Pilots Begin Protest March Against the Government Today
Former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot has entered the field today to criticize his own party's government. He will hold a protest outside the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) today against paper leaks and corruption in government recruitment exams, followed by a public rally.
Pilot arrived in Ajmer by train around 11:30 a.m., where hundreds of supporters welcomed him at the railway station. From there, he will head straight to the venue of the public rally.
Although Pilot calls it a rally against corruption, the tone suggests that it is against CM Ashok Gehlot and his government.
Two days ago, Pilot had announced a journey against corruption. Before this, he had observed a one-day fast in Jaipur on the issue of BJP Raj's corruption not being addressed.
In the election year, Sachin Pilot is seen as in great crisis on the perception issue for Congress. He has decided to start his journey by holding a rally in front of Rajasthan Public Service Commission - RPSC - to address the issues of paper leaks and corruption.
It is the first time in many years that a leader of his own party is taking a padayatra on the issues of his own government. What the opposition BJP couldn't do by working on the ground on the issue of paper leaks, Pilot has now taken up.
On Tuesday, Sachin Pilot had launched a scathing attack on CM Ashok Gehlot in a press conference. Pilot accused Gehlot of promoting corruption and nepotism.
