Mathew's Character in the Film Emerges as the Strongest
Actress Yogita Bihani, who portrays the character of Nima Mathews in "The Kerala Story," is generating buzz. In the film, Nima was the only actress in her group who didn't succumb to extremist influences and took a stand against them.
Yogita shared that a lot of hard work went into making the film. Going through numerous moments during its production, it feels disheartening when someone labels the film as propaganda.
Yogita stated in an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, "Every actor involved in the film affirms that it was not made with any specific agenda. We have made this film with utmost honesty.
The film has received positive feedback from many people. However, there are sections that perceive it as propaganda, which is disheartening as it questions our efforts. Nevertheless, everyone has their own perspective, and we cannot force anyone to watch a film against their will.
When asked if Yogita would be interested in joining another project related to women empowerment, she replied, "This film portrays several incidents related to women that happen in reality. Such incidents occur with girls, who, out of fear, cannot even discuss them with anyone.
In such situations, they need support. We need to empower women so that they can empower the next generation. If I receive offers in the future related to women empowerment.
I would definitely be interested in being a part of them. Speaking about her character in the film, Yogita said, "Believe me, after reading the script, I liked Nima's character the most.
It was the role I desired. Nima's character in the film is the strongest. She saves herself from all the adversities she faces. She goes through rape and harassment but still stands up to fight for her friends. The film is based on a real-life story.
Regarding research before joining the film, Yogita mentioned, "When you join a project, you put complete trust in your director and producer.
They have been working on this script for the past five years, and the amount of research they have done, I probably wouldn't be able to do in 15-20 days.
When I was approached, I watched some international films related to this subject. It is happening in several countries. I connected with the story and became a part of the film.
