Versatile Jaipur-based actress Subrata Parashar’s new film Gagan Gaman is set to be showcased at the Mumbai Film Festival this October. Directed by Suruchi Sharma, the film promises to offer audiences a unique and profound experience.

Subrata Parashar is not only an actress but also a model and voice-over artist. She recently gained attention for her role as Tulsi in the hit Disney Hotstar series Saas Bahu Flamingo. Earlier, she made a mark by featuring in a fun cricket advertisement with Randeep Hooda. She has also appeared in music videos for labels like Tips.

Born into a Punjabi family, Subrata began her career in Jaipur. Initially, she worked as a teacher, but her passion for theatre led her down new paths. She also ventured into TV anchoring, hosting shows like Parikrama, Samajik Sarokar, and Chitrageet on Doordarshan. Additionally, she is a certified B-High voice-over artist for All India Radio, lending her voice to documentaries, ads, dubbing, and audiobooks.

Jaipur’s Beauty Captured in the Film

One of the highlights of Gagan Gaman is its beautiful depiction of Jaipur’s Old City. Director Suruchi Sharma shared that the film explores the subconscious journey of a woman through her traumas, fears, and desires. Inspired by personal experiences, the film presents a folk tale in a universal language.

Set in the fictional landscape of Jaipur, the film is a tale of self-discovery, where the protagonist encounters various people, lovers, puzzles, and even a goddess. Subrata believes in living life fully, embracing hard work, determination, and positivity.
