FIR filed to incite suicide on Minister Joshi
Late at night, Cabinet Minister Mahesh Joshi and seven others have been charged in the suicide case of a young man in Jaipur. The complaint was lodged by Mahavir Meena, the brother of the deceased, Ram Prasad Meena (43).
According to DCP North Shashi Dogra, Mahavir Meena had stated that before his brother died, he told him that the temple operators, Devendra Sharma, Lalit Sharma, Rakesh Tank, Munji Tak, and his associate Dev Avasthi, Lalchand Devnani, Himanshu Devnani, and the MLA and Cabinet Minister Mahesh Joshi, were causing him a lot of trouble and threatening to kill him. They were telling him to vacate the land and that nothing bad would happen to him if he did so.
Mahavir said that these people had even insulted his family members with caste-based slurs. He said that they had no right to live near their temple, as they had obtained the lease of the land from the Nagar Nigam in 2017.
Despite this, the Nagar Nigam guard would come if they tried to construct any house on their land, and the Nagar Nigam's vehicle would come there frequently. He added that they had been harassing them despite several attempts to reason with them.
In his complaint to the police, Mahavir stated that they had gone to the Nagar Nigam officer, Neel Kamal Meena, who had told them that he was under pressure from Cabinet Minister Mahesh Joshi to stop their work.
After this, their entire family went to Mahesh Joshi's house, located at Civil Lines, on April 13th.
