DAAN UTSAV 2024 ORGANISED AT MANIPAL UNIVERSITY JAIPUR
The tireless efforts of Hemant Kumar, Rotaract Club students, and the DSW team ensured the success of this festival, reinforcing the university's role as a hub of community engagement and social responsibility.
Jaipur, 8 October : 'Daan Utsav 2024' was organised at Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ). Understanding the importance of social responsibility and charity, over 150 students of Rotaract Club and MUJ, along with other members of the community participated in the celebration. Many activities were organised during this week-long festival, which included a wide range of programmes like Wish Tree Initiative, Cleanliness Drive, Tree Plantation Drive, NGO Mela, Jeevan Jyoti Old Age Home Visit', Self Defense Workshop, NGO Seminar, Felicitation Ceremony, and more.
Over 200 children and various members of the community actively participated throughout the week during the festival, highlighting the success of the initiative. Vice Chancellor Prof. of MUJ, Dr. N.N. Sharma, while appreciating the students and faculty, said, "'Daan Utsav' is not just about 'giving'; it is also about promoting a culture of kindness and service."
The programme was organised by the Vice Chancellor Prof., Dr. N.N. Sharma, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Jawahar Mal Jangir, Registrar, Dr. Nitu Bhatnagar, . It was carried out under the guidance and supervision of Prof Anil Dutt Vyas (Director, DSW) and supervision of Hemant Kumar (Assistant Director, DSW). Earlier, students of Rotaract Club and MUJ enthusiastically participated in collecting donations from places like Bapu Bazaar, Johri Bazaar, Chaura Raasta, and VKI of Jaipur to contribute to the various causes supported in the charity fest.
