Jaipur : In a remarkable display of energy and enthusiasm, Ruhbani Singh, Raina Kapoor, and Vasisht Rajgarhia, Grade 10 students of Jayshree Periwal International School organized a Cyclothon at Mahindra SEZ today, with a dual focus to combine the spirit of fitness with philanthropy, aiming to support individuals affected by cerebral palsy and emphasize the importance of the "SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN- EK KADAM SWACHHATA KI AUR" urging citizens to keep roads and the environment clean.
Starting at 6:30 am and concluding at 11 am, the Cyclothon witnessed the participation of 400 students, who cycled a 10-kilometer stretch to spread the message of health and hygiene. The event was graced by the Mayor of Nagar Nigam (Greater) Jaipur, Dr. Somya Gurjar as the Chief Guest, alongside Dr. Jayshree Periwal, Chairperson of the Jayshree Periwal Group of Schools.
In her address, Dr. Somya Gurjar praised the students’ efforts, stating, “This Cyclothon is a commendable initiative that integrates fitness with civic responsibility. By promoting both healthy living and cleanliness, the students are setting an example for the community to follow.”

The organizing team, including Adhiraj Rakheja, Sambhav Kothari, Samreen Narang, Ibadat Bindra, Ishrita Atolia, Parakram Baheti, Shaurya Agarwal, Ira & Vanisha Jain played a crucial role in bringing the event to life. From managing logistics to ensuring a seamless experience, their dedication was instrumental.
The event created a lively and engaging atmosphere as parents, teachers, and members of the community gathered to cheer for the young cyclists. To ensure safety and convenience, hydration points and support stations were set up along the route.
In addition to promoting fitness, the Cyclothon amplified the message of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, with participants urging bystanders to adopt eco-friendly practices and keep their surroundings clean.
