Commercial gas cylinder in Jaipur becomes cheaper by Rs. 87
Today, oil and gas companies have reduced the prices of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). They have decreased the prices of commercial gas cylinders by up to 87 rupees. However, this reduction will not provide any relief to domestic consumers, as a 14.5 kg cooking gas cylinder will still cost 1106.50 rupees.
According to information received from oil and gas companies, a 19 kg commercial gas cylinder in Jaipur was available in the market for 2138 rupees until yesterday, which will now cost 2051 rupees. In other cities of Rajasthan such as Jodhpur, Kota, Udaipur, and Ganganager, the prices are different. In March, companies had increased the prices of commercial gas cylinders by up to 350 rupees. Meanwhile, the prices of domestic gas cylinders have remained stable.
The cylinder is still available in the market for the same price of 1106.50 rupees. However, in March, the companies had increased the price of domestic cylinders by 50 rupees. The central government has stopped providing subsidies on cooking gas since the lockdown was imposed in April 2020. Before April 2020, people used to get a subsidy on cooking gas cylinders.
