Jaipur : The 4th edition of the CII-Vedanta Hindustan Zinc Ltd Invitation Golf Cup will be held on 28 January at the Rambagh Golf Club. As many as 100 people from diverse backgrounds such as bureaucrats, sports persons, industry members, judges etc. will participate in the tournament. Few women will also be taking part in the game. India's leading professional women golfer Ms Ridhima Dilawari will also be participating in the tournament. This was informed by Chairman, CII Rajasthan State Council, Mr Abhinav Banthia at a Press Conference today.
Banthia further informed that the tournament will be played in Stableford Double Peoria format in various categories such as male, female, veteran etc. This Cup is an initiative to bring together sports and corporates and to push for a healthier and fit lifestyle. As a part of its CSR activity, CII and Vedanta Hindustan Zinc Ltd also distributed Steel Thermostat Insulated Tiffin and Insulated Water Bottles to all 150 caddies.
Banthia announced 26 categories of CII Golf Cup includes Best Golfer In CII Winner Category; Winner & Runner Category for Handicap (0 – 12), Handicap (13 – 17), Handicap (18 – 24); Exciting prizes for top finishers includes Best Lady Golfer; Best Veteran Golfer; Best Junior Golfer and also exciting Spot Prizes which includes Beat The Pro; Longest Drive; Closet To Pin and Straightest Drive; Thank You Trophies.
Captain, Rambagh Golf Club, Shriesh Sacheti expressing his delight at this association between CII and Rambagh Golf Club said that sports play a pivotal role in human development and is also the foundation for change.
“Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, South Western Command; Sunil Dutt, Adll DG-Police;Amitabha, General Manager Railways and Ashok Gaur, High Court Judge will also play in Golf Cup.” said Nitin Gupta, Senior Director & Head, CII Rajasthan.
Also present on the occasion were Past Chairman, CII Rajasthan, Vishal Baid and Past Chairman, CII Rajasthan, Gaurav Rungta.
