China Bans 232 Apps, 300 New Ones Emerged
A danger has emerged from China, which threatens not only us but also the military personnel - the Chinese apps for dating, chatting, trading, and loans. More than 250 apps are available on Google Play, and 35 on the App Store.
India has banned 232 Chinese apps from 2020 until now, but over 300 apps have returned to the country. Although these apps seem to be from Hong Kong, Vietnam, Singapore, and Indonesia, they are actually operated by Chinese companies through proxy locations.
Experts have prepared a confidential report on these apps, which will be sent to the government. The report claims that these apps engage in online prostitution and trap young women in small towns and villages.
These social apps are connected to the entertainment industry, and users are offered opportunities to chat and meet up. A Pali-based IT expert, Neelesh Purohit, revealed that he spoke with a girl who was presented in the free trial version of an app.
When asked how much she earns, she replied, "30-40 thousand rupees per month for talking for a long time. If people give me stars, I get 500 rupees for each star. That means 70-80 thousand rupees per month." Apps like ArYuLoan, Extend, and Vaka Play violate our GST system and RBI regulations.
A fraudulent loan app called Muthoot stole identities. The UPI ID for Vaka Play has also been found to be fake.
