Actress Ada Sharma is in discussions with the Kerala story. She portrayed the roles of Shalini Unnikrishnan and Fatima Ba in the film.

Ada stated that the makers required a girl who could fit in both Hindi and Malayalam for this film. Since Ada's mother is from Kerala, she has some knowledge of Malayalam.

Ada mentioned that she would get ready for Shalini's character in 15 minutes, but it would take her one and a half to two hours of makeup to transform into Fatima Ba.

The makeup process involved making her face look terrifying, which required a considerable amount of time and effort.

Ada expressed that she hasn't been able to fully detach herself from this character yet. She said, "I haven't experienced this character in real life. So, I had to do a lot to live this character.

I watched many videos and footage, such as how girls are filled in tanks where they can't even get oxygen. These should be called testimonials, not videos. All these things are in the public domain."

"I must have watched around a thousand footage. Additionally, I attended a two-month workshop and read a book related to it. After doing all this, I started the film so that the acting would feel natural.

Apart from that, I hired a teacher to learn the Malayalam language and accent. They stayed with me on the set as well. Since my mother is from Kerala, I practiced speaking Malayalam with her and my grandmother.

The Kerala Story's story is against terrorism. I have read about ISIS brides. It is a global issue. Today, terrorism is a global issue.

I thought if I could become the voice of those girls who are trapped in the web of terrorism, then I should definitely do it.

I have worked with Vipul Amrutlal Shah in 'Commando 2.' When he was making this film, he needed a heroine who could speak both Malayalam and Hindi. Vipul sir knew that my mother is from Kerala in real life.

Perhaps that's why he thought of casting me in the film. In the film, I speak in both Hindi and Malayalam." Ada also talked about her upcoming films in the interview. She said, "I have three films ready.

One film is 'The Game of Girgit,' where I play a police officer. The second film is 'Commando 3,' in which I have a similar character as before. I am also working with 'Taare Zameen Par' fame actor Darsheel Safary.

It is a psychological thriller film. Apart from that, I am doing an international project, but I can't talk about it yet.
