Jaipur : The forthcoming Jaigarh Festival, which is set to take place at the iconic Jaigarh Fort on 9 and 10 December, will witness a captivating lineup of talk shows that will take the audience on an enriching journey filled with history, art and culture.  The Talk Shows will take place at Khilbati Niwas on Day 1 of the festival. At 12 noon, Dr. Giles Tillotson will delve into the architectural marvel of 'Building Jaigarh: The Fort through Time.' Following this, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, Dr. Abhimanyu Arha will lead an exploration of Kachhawa History in 'Conquerors and Protectors.' After that, Govind Singh Bhati and Sharon Genevive will immerse the audience in the rich musical traditions of Rajasthan at 3:00 pm while discussing the revival of the Music Traditions of Rajasthan. At 4:00 pm, Suruchi Sharma will take the audience on a fascinating journey through folk culture in 'Journey with Folk.' At 5:00 pm there will be screening of the National Award-winning documentary 'Meen Raag' by Suruchi Sharma.
 
It is to be noted that the festival is being organized to celebrate 40 years of Jaigarh as a Tourist Destination. It will be inaugurated at 10.30 am with the lighting of the lamp by HH Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh. Throughout the day there will be various workshops like kathak, miniature painting, block printing etc. Furthermore, there will be flute recital, kathak recital etc. The PDKF craft bazaar with craft demonstrations like soft toy making, gotta patti, bead jewellery etc. will be another added attraction.
 
H.H. Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur expressed his enthusiasm for the festival, emphasising its diverse offerings. He said that the Talk Shows at Khilbati Niwas promise an interesting exploration of Jaigarh's architectural legacy, Kachhawa history, Rajasthan's musical traditions, and the vibrant folk culture. Similarly, the craft bazaar and performances will also demonstrate the rich art and craft traditions of Jaipur.
 
The festival is expected to draw a diverse audience, including students from schools, colleges, and universities, along with academicians, artists, aficionados of art and music, history enthusiasts, architecture aficionados, passionate shoppers, culture enthusiasts, and distinguished individuals from various domains. Additionally, representatives from affiliated organisations such as the Army, Government, Air Force, and more will also grace the event with their presence.
